PageScan privacy policy

PageScan does not collect any data about you.

There is no account to create, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting. The app makes no network connections of any kind.

Your scans

Photographs you take and the PDFs PageScan creates are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. They are never uploaded anywhere.

When you tap Share / Save, iOS opens its standard share sheet and you choose where the file goes — Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, or another app. That choice is yours, and it happens outside PageScan. We never see the file.

Deleting the app removes its scans from your device.

Camera

PageScan asks for camera access so you can photograph pages. Images are processed entirely on your device. Nothing from the camera is transmitted.

Text recognition

Text on scanned pages is read on your device using Apple's Vision framework and embedded in the PDF so it can be searched. This happens offline. No text is sent anywhere.

Children

PageScan is intended for students, including those under 13. Because it collects no personal information whatsoever, it does not gather data from children or anyone else.

Third parties

PageScan contains no third-party software development kits, trackers, or advertising libraries. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Any future version of the app that collects data would say so plainly here before it shipped.
